gas/elect rip off

I have been with Eon Next for a few years now and have smart meters. At the back end of Sept I was offered a tracker account which guaranteed £50 per year less than price cap. I was paying £157 per month for gas/elect and was in credit for £441.So it was a no brainer when I was offered a payment of £139 then £151 for 11months. On checking my bank statement on 5 Oct they had took £157 out of my account and on looking at my Gas/Elect bill they wanted to raise my bill by £7 to £164. I phoned up about this and pointed out the new price cap was £1834 or £153 per month (approx) with the guarantee I should only be paying £149. After 2 phone calls and a E-mail I have now got my payments down to £100 per month. Watch your bills and don't get ripped off They were estimating my gas/elect usage Until I pointed out they could get an accurate usage for the year by looking at my past history and taking readings from Oct last year and deducting from Oct this year and if need be for a few years before that its not rocket science if I could do it so could they

Frauds! And why are they estimating anything if you've got "smart" meters?
They only do this because people let them!

You really have to watch Eon Next. They do attempt to rip you off. They really make their customer put up a fight to avoid Eon scooping up money to which they are not entitled.
